Construction News Awards judges said they were impressed with GMI Construction Group’s rounded business, highlighting the company’s track record in delivering negotiated work, as one of the reasons why they pipped their rivals to the award win.
Celebrating its 26th year, the prestigious event held on Thursday, 14th July brought together thousands of the UK’s leading clients and contractors for a magnificent evening of celebration, recognition and networking.
The CN judges said that in addition to profitable financial business growth GMI had shown a “great understanding” of the “people challenges” growth brings. “GMI has an exemplar approach to maintaining company culture throughout the business and a focus on the importance of a regional approach. GMI’s rate of negotiated work demonstrates their open and straightforward approach to delivery through repeat business.”
The judges also praised GMI’s “strong framework” for delivering against ESG, health and safety, and wellbeing criteria.
Reflecting upon the landmark achievement for the business, Lee Powell, CEO at GMI Construction, said:
We are incredibly proud to have received such prestigious recognition for our growth and achievements. GMI will strive to go above and beyond these standards as we set out on our ambitious 10-year vision for the company.
