GMI Midlands kit on a junior football team

GMI Midlands kit on a junior football team

Giving back to some of the communities where we work is crucial for our business and GMI Midlands have done exactly that by helping a junior football club with a donation for some team kits.

West Midlands based P.S Olympic FC reached out to GMI to see if we could help raise some funds for a football kit for their junior section and once, we learned about the super work that’s going on by youngsters and volunteers alike, GMI stepped in to literally kit them out.

Our Construction Director of the Midlands, Gareth Jones, lends a hand with the coaching when time allows as he does his bit to volunteer in a community close to his heart.

Andy Bruce, GMI’s Divisional Managing Director for the Midlands, said: “P.S Olympic FC has a thriving junior section but needed a new kit to get them looking the part as well as playing the part. We were more than happy to step in and provide a little bit of support which goes a long way.”

Since GMI got involved, the Under 7’s team have gone on a bit of a run to top the table in the Under 7’s Trophy Group, after a storming first three games. The youngsters have also embarked on the road to what will hopefully be a cup win as well.

The boys could be looking at a GMI inspired double. Our Managing Director in the Midlands, Andy Bruce, has promised to reward the players with a bonus if they pick up the silverware!
