A student accommodation scheme in York, constructed by GMI Construction Group will represent Yorkshire at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards.
This news comes after Percy’s Place scooped the ‘Best high-volume new housing development’ at the LABC North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards in June.
Percy’s Place, offers 106 student bedrooms across a collection of unique, self-contained townhouses and also a mix of one, three, five and six-bedroom en-suite apartments
There is, along with study spaces, a fully kitted gym, a cinema room, beautiful communal areas, a games room and a courtyard area.
The largest business to business awards in the building control sector, the LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards recognise quality in all types of building project.
The awards celebrate projects that demonstrate high levels of compliance with building regulations, effective working relationships with LABC surveyors, outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability and high performance, the ability to solve technical problems with creative solutions and the use of innovative products and the skills to overcome difficult site conditions.
The event will be held at The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on Friday 8th November 2019.
