    ANDY KEMPCHAIRMAN

    Andy has over 40 years’ experience in the construction sector. A co-founder of GMI being with the business throughout its entire existence, Andy has helped to mould the company into the successful contractor it is today. His vast construction knowledge and expertise has seen constant delivery expectation and beyond, achieved on all projects through the company’s existence.

    Whether adding value or problem solving, Andy and his team have continued to maintain and improve upon our construction delivery services and, testament to this dedication is our 82% repeat business rate. GMI continues to deliver high standards in health and safety, achieving a RoSPA Gold Award for the seventh consecutive year and taking Considerate Constructors scores beyond the national average standards.

    Andy joined GMI Construction in 2013 as Managing Director and is responsible for the day to day management of the construction business.

    Andy has held similar roles with a number of leading construction companies prior to joining GMI and brings a wealth of expertise to the business, with over 30 years of construction experience behind him.

    DAVID PRICEMAJOR PROJECTS DIRECTOR

    David joined GMI in 2015 following a number of years as Regional Director for a national contracting business.

    With over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry working on large, complex projects he is able to work with our clients to ensure true value is delivered throughout the projects life cycle.

    This may be during the enabling/concept stage to clear sites of constraints, during the design stage to ensure the delivery of innovative, efficient, cost effective designs or through the construction stage to ensure we deliver quality projects, on time and safely.

    As our client’s key contact on Major Projects David ensures we achieve customer satisfaction at all stages and that we deliver on our promises.

  • MARC BANKS

    MARC BANKSCOMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

    Marc joined GMI as a trainee Quantity Surveyor in 2002 and since then has developed a commercial management structure and performance level into his team of surveyors that combines hands-on quantity surveying with a commercial, client-friendly approach.

    Marc has worked on many of GMI’s prestigious projects, developing relationships with a number of clients and securing repeat business. He has a proven track record in delivering high value, complex projects and is committed to constant improvement and innovation and continues to take a hands-on role on all projects.

    LEE POWELLCOMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

    Lee joined GMI in 2017 and heads up the commercial function with specific responsibility for the Yorkshire and the North East region.

    Lee brings 25 years’ service in the construction industry, with a wealth of experience across all industry sectors and a background based in a regional contracting, Lee has also spent a number of years as Regional Commercial Director with a national contractor delivering complex and high value schemes.

    Lee has a keen focus on efficient delivery by means of intelligent procurement and comprehensive engagement of the supply chain, to ensure an efficient and trouble free construction period and handover.

  • MARTIN WATSON

    MARTIN WATSONSENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER

    Martin is a highly experienced Senior Contracts Manager with practical experience at all levels in the construction industry having started his career as an apprentice Joiner at a national contractor, progressing his career via commercial, design and project management delivery roles in various sectors.

    Martin leads our construction team and has developed excellent client relationship skills and commercial awareness which are used to bring multi-disciplined teams together to achieve high quality results, on time, within budget in a safe working environment.
