Latest images have revealed how the development on the former site of the Merrion Hotel will look once it has been completed. The development, which is currently on site will include new frontage to existing retail units that are open for business as usual during the duration of the works and new cladding and glazing on the exterior.
Town Centre Securities, the developers behind the project, has franchise agreements for the Ibis Styles hotel with hotel operator Accor Hotels and Black & White Hospitality which owns the Marco’s New York Italian brand and will be opening his first ever restaurant in Leeds as part of the development. The 4,000 sq ft Marco’s New York Italian will be located on the ground floor of a new modern two storey extension fronting onto Wade Lane. The hotel, which will have a Yorkshire themed reception area and the restaurant will be completed in Spring 2017.
